Angry Celexa ????

Hi people, I started taking Celexa for anxiety and depression. Prior to that I could go to sleep at will, I caould've slept 12 straight. The first night I took celexa, I couldnt sleep. It's been two weeks and I still can't sleep. I take 100mg of trazodone just to think about sleeping. I'm so tired but my mind won't shut off, I hear a song over and over in my mind or something else all night. Is it the Celexa? I quit taking it, so how long will it take to get out of my system. I need sleep and have heard too many bad things about Ambien to want to take it. I love to sleep thats all I ever did and now I cant. Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!

Go to the "Depression" board. You will find there a lot of information about Celexa users.
If I am not mistaken, that is one of the side effects of Celexa.

Doctors claim that Celexa is not an "activator" like Zoloft but it is more "activator" than Prozac or Remeron.

My best advice: talk to your doctor. I was on Zoloft for 3 days only and the side effects were so bad my doctor had to switch me to Remeron. I have been on Remeron for 4 days now, taking half the dosage recommended by my doctor (I hate drugs and after my Zoloft experience I decided to go very slow with Remeron). Remeron makes me sleepy (I needed that, but it can be dangerous while driving) and a little hungry.

Good luck!
