Unhappy Sad thought

Isnt it sad when someone who is on oxygen or has heart conditions, etc. that if they continue to smoke they will probably die, yet they continue to smoke?? Literally they chose smoking over life, how sad. What a disgusting habit we have/had. Just a thought.
Take care all,
Lori

Yeah Lori, that is sad!

A close friend of mine, her mother passed away from emphysema last year. Nothing was wrong with her, except that she couldn't breath. She said she knew it was coming . . . one year she'd went and visited her and she said she could hear her wheezing when she breathed, the next they had her on oxygen in the evening (and during the day she still smoked) and the last year she was on oxygen full time (couldn't smoke).

My neighbor passed away about 1-1/2 yrs ago. VERY sweet lady, smoked and got cancer. She was also on oxygen at the end because she couldn't breath.

SOOO SAD!!! Makes you mad . . .

Lori, I do smoke & I'm almost ready to quit. But if you talk to these people that are on oxygen, they know that they don't have much time left. The way I see it, they are going to go soon enough, if they enjoy smoking so much that they need an oxygen tank to breath - let them light up -- I just don't want to be in the same area when they light the match!
