Post Day 3 I am here

Hello All, here I am on day three of my smoke free world. So far so good, thoughts of cigarettes pop into my head or usually every half an hour or so, then I just let it pass, its not like I am physically needing it, or really crave it. Its like its just time to have one, hard to explain this. Never felt like this during my last quit three years ago. Back then I WANTED ONE so bad it drove me nuts. Just feels like times I should be having one. I found a great bulletin board on another web page, similar to this, it has has been helpful also and some great links for a successful quit.

The dreams are still very real and vivid, like they are really happening, but so far that seems to be the only downfall to the quit.

take care all, remember one will not due

Wndy!!!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

I remember my first few days. It did seem more like "it was time" for one, than I was really having a "craving" for one. Seems like you're on the right road.

I also tried to quit a couple of times before this last time and it felt totally different. Going nuts wanting a cigarette. I think once you get to a different "mental state" it's all on how you looked at it. I remember just telling myself, 'I am NOT putting another one of those nasty things in my mouth again'. And that was it. And I haven't, and I won't.

Smoking IS the nastiest habit. It kills you . . . basically you are killing yourself!

Be proud of yourself. 3 days may not seem like a long time, but it is. You're on a great start. Keep it up and be proud of yourself. It takes a LOT to get where you are right now!

March 27th was 6 mos. and no smoking for me. You'll be there in no time . . .

Lucky!

Good job!!!! Once you make it passed day 3 you are usually over the worst (for most people anyway). The first week is the hardest, but thats only a handfull of days and worth it. It starts getting so much easier after the 3rd day, so you are over the "hump" now Its only going to get better! Keep it up you are doing great!
Take Care,
Lori
