Hello all,
I am new and my doctor has finally suggested surgery.
I have tried steroid injections, cholicine injections,
pt, and still have copious amounts of pain.
Some days I cannot even move my left arm without reaching and moving it with the right.
My doc says this is one of the most successful cervial sites to do surgery (C5-6).
I see the doc in 2 wks, I also am having my therapist talk to the doc, as the doc wants to be sure I am mentally stable for the surgery. (I have been on SSDI
since 1992 for PTSD/depression). So, in that since I
have not had to hold down a ft job. I do work 2 nights a week.
I have been encouraged about everyone's success stories with surgery.
With everything I have found discussed here, I now feel I have the right questions for my doc, appointment on Jan. 28th, to go forward with surgery.
Thanks for the info. I will be checking in with everyone's progress as I take this step into surgery and hopefully a functional lifestyle post-op.
Again, I am glad I found this message board and hope all here find a painfree life soon!
