Smile Charlotte /myelogram

Hi Charlotte,
just a note to let you know that I was thinking of you having your myelogram today. I hope everything went well, and that you are doing okay. How did you do with the ride home?
Take care of yourself, and let us know how you are doing.

Hey Mel, Debbie,
Thanks you guys for thinking about me. I wondered if you all were around. I was scheduled for myleogram 6am two hours away. We had a big snow here so I called to reschedule. I was going to try and make it if new appt was going to be more than a week. Anyway, they told me it was not a problem since my doc was out of the country and wouldn't return to US until Feb 4.
I couldn't believe it. I am so tired of all this#$%$#
Yesterday i decided to try and do something even if it killed me so I made some veg soup and cookies and cleaned the bathroom.
I have been in severe pain ever since. I am really scared and worried again. Do you think these docs will get in a hurry if i'm paralyzed, because thats where i think i'm headed.
Oh well, I'm just having another bad day so..........
Thanks you all
Charlotte

Hey Charlotte,
I too have been having a crappy week, so i will tell you what i try to tell myself, Take it easy, Do not overdo it, and all the rest. But the reality is its very hard to do almost nothing.
So just take care of yourself, and space out your activities as best you can. And rest when you need it. The wait is very hard, but at least you know the diagnosis now(your not crazy http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/rolleyes.gif )The next steps will fall into place. I would lend you some patience but i just dont have any myself.
Really just take care, and keep in touch
Mel

I agree, try and take it easy. But don't think for one minute we don't understand. Before surgery I cried every day, pain or less pain, because I was so frustrated trying to do things (being normal I called it). It was a terrible feeling. I would put a heating pad on my arm, take pills, get in a hot bath... all so that I could dust!
It's was really awful, but I tell you this, once this is all sorted out you will be good as new. Set backs stink, but that is all they are is set backs. Everything will fall into place eventually. It's hard to wait, but you will get to the doctor!
