Hey Sam I Am I was wondering if you finally got the neck brace off? I've been away for awhile went to Florida to visit my Parents and my Grandpa.

What a way to spend my vacation, 2 weeks on the beach in Florida with a hard neck collar! Hot! Hot! Hot!

Have you decided how you are going to destroy your brace yet? Are you going to shoot it, burn it,or use it as a hood ornament?

Good morning Kim. Welcome back from Florida! When does your brace come off? It must have been tough in the hot sun with your brace - I hope you still had an enjoyable time.

My brace came off on Friday Jun 14th. My buddies and I had quite the party! I think we set a new record for our beer can pyramid.

We decided late in the night to run over the brace with my truck. We each took turns running it over and probably ran it over a dozen times. It was pretty flattened and crunched by the time we were done. It is now hanging in my garage next to my license plate collection - I had to use some duct tape to piece it back together.

I hope your brace comes off soon!

Hey Glad to see you respond back. Thought now that you have your brace off you might forget about us not so lucky people! Your replies back always bring a smile to my face! Keep them coming!

Beer can pyramid, Cool! Sounds like you had a great time celebrating!! Can wait for the day! So you decided to run the sucker over, and over, and over instead of dragging it home. Great job! I still cant decide on what to do with mine. Any ideas?

I can just imagine it all taped up and nailed to the wall! Funny! Very funny! So, How does it feel to have it off. I wonder what its going to feel like to finally move my neck again. Are you doing any kind of physical therapy to build back up your neck muscles? Are you back to work yet?

I drove for the first time yesterday. I couldn't take it anymore. I feel like a caged animal. Did ok just a short trip to the drug store.

Hi Kim. I hope to continue to visit the board for some time. It was very helpful and encouraging to read the posts of others before my surgery and during my recovery. Hopefully, some of our posts will keep others positive. I was going to say keep their heads up - but the brace takes care of that!

I have some neck exercises to do on my own. My neck still feels weak but it is improving. I am back to work but only on a limited basis.

As for your brace, it depends on if you ever want to see it again. If you never want to see it again, I would suggest tying it to a 10 pound block (let someone else lift it) and throwing it off a bridge into a lake. Just watch out for any bass fishing boats below!

I'm glad I crushed mine but didn't throw it away. Maybe you could chop it into pieces and keep it in a jar. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/idea.gif

Sorry Sam, I forgot to answer one of your questions. I don't see my Dr. until July 25. So I will have to wear the collar until then. Tomorrow will be 4 weeks! Wow! that's hard to believe! So I'm half way there. 4 more weeks to go!

Like I said your messages keep me smiling! They help to keep my nugget up! So keep them coming.

I like your ideas on how to destroy my neck brace. But with my luck I would hit a bass boat below or after I tossed the sucker I would turn around to see the police handing me a fine for littering! So I'm going to pass on that one.

Now chopping it up into pieces might be one I would consider. I love to swing an ax! I do have to chop some wood for the bonfire so I might as well kill two birds with one stone! Chop it-then toss it on the fire! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/blob_fire.gif

I was out driving again today. First trip was to the drug store and today I took the kids to the dentist. Somebody stop me I'm out of control!!
