Post xact moment of fusion

I'm 9 weeks post-op right now, and I've been thinking about when the exact moment the fusion takes place? I would think it's during sleep. onw day my neck started to burn, and i wondered if it was the bones trying to fuse.

I am six weeks post-op from my second lumbar fusion.
First fusion started to show on x-ray at three months. It can take a year or longer to totally fuse. As for the burning, I think that is nerve related.
Take care,
Elaine

Fusion is a 24/7 process that can take 12 months to complete. You may feel more pain in bed as you may be moving about in your sleep. I think of it as a fracture healing.
