Post Stress and Anxiety

Has wondering had anxiety problems where they have constant numbness all day in their arms. I started off about a month ago not feeling well, vomitting, numbness in my face, arms, legs, back and neck pain. I thought that I had nerve damage from a root canal. I ended up in the hospital for a week and had every test imaginable. Went to every doctor out there, then met a psychatrist that said because of my symptons and family history it was an Anxiety Disorder. She put me on Lexapro it made me very sick, nautious, dizzy, vomitting etc. I got off of it and then she put me on Xanex 1/2 of .25 4 times a day and .25 at night. I feel anxious everyday, especially when the medcine wears off. Has anyone else not had symptoms of feeling like their having a heart attack, but feeling, hot, numbness in legs, constant numbness in their arms, dizzy or sleep, heavy eyelids or excessive saliva or swelling in mouth?

I started on Lexapro two weeks ago. I was taking Xanax for anxiety but my doctor wanted to give Lexapro a try. I too am feeling nausea and sweating,so I started taking it at night and I'm doing much better.
Along with anxiety, my nuerologist has also said that I have "Trigeminal Neuralgia" My symptoms started out as a numbness only on the right side of my face and down my right arm. At times the numbness gets so bad that it feels like small electical shocks. I get them above my right ear also. At one time, the bottom right side of my lip twitched for two weeks. My doctor gave me Trileptal to take and the symptoms got better. I've been off the Trileptal for about six weeks now, but my symptoms are starting to come back. I'll have to call and check with my doctor and make sure that I can take the Lexapro and Trileptal together.

to heather anxiety can cause all your problems and its a pity you had a bad reaction to lexapro, the xanax should help, its a different type of med
you are probably also having panic attacks

fight or flight response often causes numbness
you need to learn how to relax and breathe properly gentle exercise and long walks are very relaxing
