Just be yourself. If things go on that you don't necessarily agree with, then quietly remove yourself from the situation....Just slip away. I don't want to sound too parental here, but you will find this to be true all the way through life....Many, many things happen around you...Even in middle age....And you've got to make your own personal decisions based on what fits your individual decision making model.
By all means, don't miss out on great times because you're a little concerned about things....It's only natural to be cautious. I'd be more worried if you weren't! I have found that many people today have little to no ethics anymore, and quite frankly, it's refreshing to come across someone like you.
