labyrinthitis/sinusitis and TMJ?
Hi all,
I am coming from the inner ear problems healthboard. Hbep convinced me I should look into TMJ, and I am amazed at finding so many people with my very same problems. I believe I did originally have a labyrinthitis (or vestibular neuritis) and sinusitis back in early March. I had lots of anxiety (have been on Zoloft for 10 years).Things seemed to be getting better.... But the the sinus pain got worse. A residual imbalance continued to plague me. But now my ENT says all the tests, scans, etc. show clear sinuses. He has suggested I see a dentist about TMJ and a neurologist about possible "atypical facial pain". I also have neck pain (left side) (have always had dreadful posture). My tongue and cheek hurts sometimes. My gums and teeth hurt. Sometimes by body aches. And I am sooo tired by evening. Talking makes things even worse. I increased my Zoloft after some steroid medication sent me into a bout of panic attacks and depression. Now maybe that is making things worse? Maybe that's what aggravated the TMJ? I have always done a lot of teeth grinding and jaw clenching. Does this sound familiar to anyone?
