Hi phish,
Sinus problems are listed as a symtom of TMJD.
The simplest explanation I've found is, the muscles of mastication (chewing) are all very dependent on each other and with the intracacies of the neural network in the face, most people with TMJD would suffer some kind of sinus cavity abnormalities. The neurotransmitters do not send the correct signals or the signals get blocked and the sinuses do not drain properly.
I have had severe TMJD problems for many years. My sinus problems have been minor compared to others.
Almost everyone in my family has serious sinus problems and no one else has TMJD.
I think the severity of symtoms are different for everyone.
