cyst in the sinuses? - Sinus Problems Message Board

I recently had a cat scan which showed I had
a cyst in my sinuses. The doctor says that
is ok and does not need to be removed, that it is common. Has anyone else discovered they had a cyst in thier sinuses, and did you have problems with it not being removed?

I have a sist in my left sinus.I have had it there for 32yrs.I have had no problems that I'm aware of.Don't loose sleep over this one.Regards D Holloway.

You need to do some research. A cyst doesn't
stay for 32 yr's! Ask for a copy of the CT
report. Ask if it was a Coronal CT. Ask which
sinus it was found in. CT report should say.
Ignore this & you may find yrs. later that it
was a polyp or a papilloma like I did. I'm on
a 4th surgery for infection & cancer in the
maxillary. Some other symtoms must have sent
you to have tests. 10 ENT's all ignored this
unique finding on films. Do some homework.
It's your life & right to ? the Dr's.
