Hi, KM. You are on the right path. I've had chronic sinus infections for years.
Many times, I've had to take the full course of antibiotics before I really felt better. It's probably just a hardy infection, so hang in there. I have found that using a saline nasal spray helps a bit. I might also suggest placing a hot, moist wash cloth or towel right on your face. I always have the most pain behind my cheek bones (maxillary sinus), and this does seem to help. Avoiding a lot of sugary drinks and dairy can help as well. Try to drink as much water as you can...it really helps to thin out the mucus, which helps things drain properly.
I even had surgery in 2001 for sinus problems, so I understand where you are coming from.
Please post a reply when you are feeling better. Hopefully, it won't be much longer.
Good luck -
