dizziness/brain fog, but clear sinuses? - Sinus Problems Message Board

Here are my symptoms:

-post nasal drip
-nausea (probably from the drip)
-brain fog
-weakness
-occasional soar throat
-heart palps
-spots in eyes
-blood taste in mouth, but no blood visible
-dizzy when laying down flat

I had my sinuses scanned, but they are very clear. Could this just be allergies?

Here are the meds I am on: aciphex, allegra, rhinocort, vitamins

I also came off steroids a few months ago, but a low dose. The doctors don't this is the cause of any symptoms

Yup if the CT didn't show an infection, then you have allergies. BTW the CT only shows inflamation of the sinus tissue. It doesn't actually show mucus. If you have post nasal drip, then you have some congestion.

I have many of the same symptoms. And my CT scan was clear too (i.e. no inflammation). I believe it is allergies that is causing my problems. I'm also looking into chronic fatigue syndrome... but am confident that it is allergies.

Don't let it freak you out. Stress just makes it worse. Try irrigating your sinuses with a Neti Pot or SinuRise Bottle -- you can find them in health food stores and some pharmacies. There's plenty of threads that discuss irrigation. And it does help.

Also consider food allergies. Also lots of threads that discuss.

Hang in there. You're not alone.
