Ok.. I've posted before about the supposed reflux pains I've had below my sternum.. I've also had them higher up. Well today when I awoke.. I felt out of it and driving home I had a pain in my left chest, it was a pretty dull nagging pain. I've been very stressed out and was fed up with feeling this way so I went to the ER. They hooked me up to a monitor and ran an ekg. My heart rate was varying from 76 to about 135 at times... They ran another ekg when it was high. At one time it went up to 120ish and because of the alarms on the machine I freaked out, it shot up to 163 and I could feel my heart pounding in my chest and stomach, but then with controlled breathing it dropped. Laying on the bed was uncomfortable and movement like adjusting myself seemed to increase my heartrate. I think looking at the monitor also increased it at times so I tried not to concentrate on it. Other times is would just seemed to fluctuate for no reason. The doc said my ekg was "normal" well not really because there were abnormalities, but not having a prior ekg to compare it to, he said it may be "normal" for me... anyway this has caused me a ton of stress. His notes to my GP were: "Mr. ___ 's EKG today revealed t-wave inversions in his inferior leads insignificant Q's in infaolated?? leads, delayed intrinsiciod deflections in those leads, and an intermittent sinus arrythmia at rates up to 135 (he missed the 163 I had). With normal enzymes and localized reproducible epigastric symptoms I don't feel that an emergent? cardiac work up was warranted, but he probably does need to follow with cardiologyy after his endoscopy"

So... anyone make sense of what he said and could this all be due to the INCREDIBLE anxiety and stress I've been having?? No one of yet has prescribed me anything for anxiety... what about St. John's Wort? I've heard good things.. Thanks so much for everything... everything has made my life a mess and has been quite debilitating...and even if this is all from stress... can this be good for my heart??? Constantly changing a rate.. I mean, when on the monitor, it never even for a second would stay at a constant rate...
