Hi. I was wondering if anyone has experienced these symptoms. This season I haven't experienced the typical runny nose, itchy eyes, sneezing with my allergies. I get these weird sinus flare ups that make my cheeks and my forehead really hot, almost like I have a fever. Sometimes my face will be flushed. It has been driving me crazy for almost three months. It's like my face is on fire and I have a fever. I went to the allergist and he gave me prednisone--didn't work. Then he thought I had a sinus infection so he put me on Augmentin for 2 weeks--didn't work. Then I went in for a CT scan--didn't show anything except for minimal mucus clogging in one sinus cavity but the doc said this shouldn't cause my hot/feverish/flushed face. I don't have a fever though. At least I don't think so. I am on Nasonex and Allegra, but that doesn't seem to help. The doctor told me to take up to three ibuprofens when my face gets hot, but that doesn't always help. The only thing that sorta seems to make me feel better is taking an Aleve Cold & Sinus pill that contains pseudoephedrine in it. If anyone experiences these hot/feverish face sinus symptoms please reply. It is messing up my everyday life making me just want to curl up in a ball and sleep. I feel like I have some weird syndrome, although the doctor insists it is just my allergies. I don't know what to do. Thank you.
