Sinus Pressure Upon Waking Up

Pretty much every morning I wake up with a stuffy nose and a dull headache, much like when I have problems with my sinusus. It makes it so hard to get out of bed because I don't feel like it. I have not gone to class or worked out because I just don't feel well. After getting up and eating breakfast, though, I fell better. The stuffy nose and headache go away.

Any ideas why this is happening?
Is there anything I can do to make it stop?

Thanks in advance
Irish Princes

Re: Sinus Pressure Upon Waking Up

I have the same thing, the doctor said it is caused from my allergies. I had testing done and am allergic to dust, pet dander, all pollens, and mold...all a little hard to avoid completely. Make sure you have an anti-allergen pillow and wash your bedding often. Don't sleep with a pet, and don't let them in your bedroom when you are not sleeping. Keep up with dust. Another thing that seems to help is raising the head of your bed, if you are the only one in your bed this is easy, just put something under the 2 top bed "feet". (about 2" is enough) If someone shares your bed and they don't want this, which is my case, I use an extra pillow to keep my head raised. There is also always allergy meds, I use these allong with all of the other things to help.
