sinus? bronchitus? flu? - Sinus Problems Message Board

Can someone help me? 4 days ago, I started with a low grade fever, & body aches. I never really had any congestion, and only mild coughing. I went to the doctor on Wednesday, and he said it was a sinus infection and gave me a z-pak. The fever has subsided, but I am still very sore feeling. (Especially thru my back and between my shoulder blades.) I have had sharp pains thru my ribs, and I am working hard to talk and not become out of breath. I've not had a sore throat, or earache or running nose. I have had alot of fatigue. Should I be concerned that I was misdiagnosed?

hi, sounds viral. the pains could be from the coughing....but, my friend recently had a virus and she had back pain. it went away after a week - she claims that she had a virus in her back, so you never know.

if you still have pain, go back to the doc. maybe a chest xray for the rib pain.....other than that, hang in.
