Last summer I lost my upper molars on both sides and have been adjusting to new partials. I have always had sinus issues, but I feel that without the teeth it has become worse - probably structural and things not being able to drain as well now. The worst part of this for me has been the ringing in my ears that the congestion causes. The ENT I went to said that I have some TMJ due to all of the dental work which is quite possible and could cause the ringing. However, I notice the ringing much more when I am most congested. I know that I am congested also because I can feel the pressure in my face and around my eyes. Sudafed, Claritin and others like it do not seem to help and I have been on so many antibiotics due to teeth issues over the years that I hesitate to start them again.
So, my questions are: Do any of you have ringing in the ears due to congestion? If so, what do you do to help that? I do have a netti pot that I don't use faithfully. Would it help to do that twice a day? My ENT also gave me NeilMed Sinus Rinse however the directions say not to use that if there are ear problems.
Any experiences, thoughts, or advice would be most appreciated.
