Very dizzy 3 days after sinus surgery - Sinus Problems Message Board

I've never had surgery before, so I didn't know what was normal. I had septoplasty and cleaning out my sinus cavity. It's been 3 days and I'm still very dizzy and weak. My throat is also still killing me from that tube.

I felt the same way after my septoplasty and sinus surgery. I had packing they didn't remove until 3 days after surgery. once they removed that I slept and the next day I felt a hundred times better. It does get better as each day passes and if it doesn't see your ENT. Good luck!!

Thanks. I didn't have packing, but I think I had stints. I see my doctor in about a week for the first cleaning and to get the stints removed. I was pretty dizzy before surgery due to thyroid problems, so I"m sure this hasn't helped.

In my opinion the debridement (cleaning of the scabs) hurt worse than anything else LOL. I didn't have stints (due to the packing) so I couldn't tell you about those.

Your ears & nose are conected and your inner ear controls your balance and this gives you the dizzy sensation. I have a friend who had the same procedure so I rang him and he said that the doc said its normal. We both hope your feeling better soon.
