Sinuses causing me lots of trouble; feeling chronically tired! anyone have any advice

Hi,
My name is Jennifer and I'm 23 years old. I have been suffering with chronic sinus problems for years now. My doctors have told me that they are most likely due to allergies. They have put me on allergy pills but they are not helping. I've tried all kinds of allergy pills but I still have sinus congestion and pain plus now I'm getting a multitude of other problems; these are the things I've been dealing with:
- chronic sinus pain and pressure at top of nose, above eyes, and cheeks
- post-nasal drip (usually pretty thick mucous draining in the back of my throat)
- blocked nasal passages at night
- sneezing once in awhile
- eyes burn
- headaches on the top of my head
- dizzy spells sometimes
-CHRONIC FATIGUE!...lately pretty bad that its been effecting my daily activities, always feel tired and never feel rested anymore after a full night's rest!
- nausea once in awhile (most likely due to the nasal drainage in my throat)
- chills
- body aches pretty bad especially in my arms and hands

I've tried Claritin, zyrtec, and Allegra D. Allegra D did seem to help me last year but I'd been off it for awhilel when I didn't have insurance and recently went back on it and it doesn't work for me anymore. Sinus congestion pills don't do anything anymore. I've done the sinus rinse bottle and that helps me breath a little better but doesn't relieve the pressure or pain. Even ibuprofin doesn't do anything. Aleve seems to help my body aches some but I don't see why I'm getting body aches in the first place. Lately its like my body feels like its sick with body aches, chills, and always tired. But I don't have the flu or cold. Its just my sinuses. I've never had any tests to prove that I have allergies and thats whats causing my sinus trouble just been told that its probably that. Well I'm going back to the doctor today and I hope they can do something else for me. Does anyone have any advice? I've just been so miserable!

Thanks,
Jennifer

I went to the doctor and she didn't really take the time to discuss my symptoms. She just said try nasonex spray in addition to your allergy pill. Well I told her I've tried nasal spray before but it didn't help with the sinus pain. It does help to clear my nose some but the sinus pain won't go away. I think the only way I'm going to get this solved is if I see a otorinolaryngologist cause they specialize in chronic sinus trouble.

Will you please do me a favor and go to an allergist because allergies can raise all sorts of problems with you and you have the signs from what I have read. You should also see an ear/nose and throat dr. to see if you have a deviated septum. That can make one VERY miserable.

I use a sinus rinse bottle. Its just like netipot and it helps clear my nasal passages but it doesn't get rid of my sinus pain. The pain is the worst in the sinuses above my eyes. The allergy pills won't even clear up that pain and pressure. I've taken all kinds of decongestents but they don't help. Mucinex D helps to drain some of my mucous down my throat but doesn't get rid of the pain and pressure. The doctor said if my sinuses don't feel better with the allergy pills and nasal spray that the next step would be a cat scan of my sinuses. Does a cat scan of the sinuses really help? I remember a long time back when I was suffering with these same problems I had a cat scan done and it showed that my sinuses were fine but yet I was still suffering with extreme pain and pressure. I want to see an allergist or nose, ear, and throat doctor but I don't have health insurance right now and so I'm kind of limited. I am in the process of getting a new job and hoping I get one that offers health insurance. I think the only way I'm going to get all this taken care of is if I see a specialist. I still am tired a lot. Can allergies and sinus trouble make you tired?
