Sinus headache without congestion?

I've suffered from allergies and sinus problems for over 20 years. Lately I've had daily headaches that start over my right eye and my brow bone is tender to the touch. However, I don't have really any other symptoms such as nasal congestion - just a little drainage in the morning. Is it possible to have sinus pain without congestion or other symptoms?

If you Google ("sinus wothout congestion") you will find that Sinus headaches without the regular Sinus symptoms does happen.

Here is a quote from one of the articles:

The explanation for how your sinuses can hurt when there is no obvious anatomic or structural explanation is that the nerves that supplies the sinus and nasal lining can become irritated or inflamed, for reasons that are often unclear. Perhaps it is the same process that can make the nerves that innervate the meninges of the brain hurt and cause tension and migraine headaches.

Regards.

Yes.

I get something similar when my sinuses aren't blocked before they then get congested later.

Told my doctor about it and was told it was a normal symptom.

Why would I want to go to a quack?

There is absolutely no scientific proof behind the medicine provided by homeopathic treatments. The only scientific thing proven it is that it has a great placebo effect.

However being female I've discovered that I know some very good listeners.

In my experience yes. I suffered from daily sinus headaches starting between the bridge of my nose and my right eyeball. After countless Doc./Specialists I was finally sent to an ENT and diagnosed with a Deviated Septum. Surgery was scheduled and performed on the 28th of this mo. I know it's only been 5 but I feel like a new person!!! The procedure performed was Endoscopic Sinus Surgery and or Nasal Surgery. It's very simple and painless when compared to daily headaches. My symptoms prior were very similar to yours. I suffered for over a year, at some points it got so bad I felt like giving up. DONT!!! I have never felt as good as I do now with no headaches!!! Stay positive Don't give up there is help!!
