Dizziness for over 2 years! please help!

Well iv had really bad dizziness for over 2 years now,iv had every test you can think of,i had a vestibular assessment yesterday and he said my hearing is great and my ears are perfect.iv had blood tests, urine tests, adrenal test,eyes/ears tested,24 hr ecg, blood pressure, blood sugar all checked, the only thing i had to go on is on my MRI scan i had a few months ago they said it was fine but i had a blocked sinuses.i Saw a ENT Specialist that requested a CT scan on my sinuses and a vestibular assessment.I got a letter today saying on my results of my ct scan there is a small mucocele in the right ethmoid sinus but no other abnormality detected.Could this be the cause of my dizziness everyday, vertigo and vision problems? yet my vision is "20 20" as the eye test guy said and my balance in my ears are fine.I all so had bad fatigue, weakness, generally feeling unwell, pain in ears, bad nausea.Could this be the cause? please say yes! haha :P
I'v herd alot of people saying allergies can cause dizziness and i currently dont have any(that i know of),all my family suffer from sinus problems and allergies .please help! thanks in advance

ps the best way to explain my dizziness,if i have a extreme dizzy spell the room keeps on spinning for 12+ hours,if i get a minor spell its like a split second vertigo spell,it makes me feel very of balanced and unwell,if that helps :P

If you have blocked sinuses, you have either allergies, a cold or a sinus infection. Plus..... as you have said, allergies run in your family.

Allergies would explain a lot of your symptoms.

Are your sinuses stuffed up all the time? Ever have sneezing spells? Do you feel worse after coming in from the outside? Do you feel worse at night? Ever have breathing problems, or labored breathing, or uncomfortable breathing?

Re: Dizziness for over 2 years! please help!

well the guy who gave me a vestibular test said my breathing seemed like i was hypertenilating, like i couldnt get much oxygen in but to be its perfectly normal,no panic or anything.i dont get much flem at all, nose never runs.my sinuses seem like, but all my family have had sinus operations and stuff because of how bad theres get,and iv had this ethmoid mucocele for over 5 months,i had a MRI scan in may which picked it up,then i had a ct scan a few weeks back and its still there, are allergys a reason for getting mucoceles? allso thank you so much for replying it really does mean everything to me allso do get it were i sneeze like 5 times ina row lol

Two of the most common causes for mucoceles are infection and allergy.

The old Chicken versus Egg quandary. Did the mucocele cause the health problems, or did the health problems cause the mucocele?

All of your symptoms could be caused by allergies. All of them. Someone could have bad allergies without either Asthma or the typical runny and stuffed nose.

Have you had allergy tests, for grasses or trees or weeds in your area? If it were me, I would want to definitely rule out allergies, while still exploring other reasons for your health problems.

I've heard that multiple sneezes indicates allergies, but, at the same time, it could just be that something irritated the sinuses and caused the sneezing.

I am not a health professional, or a health student. I am just someone who has struggled with allergies for decades and had similar problems to you. Instead of mucoceles I used to get polyps. I was constantly getting treated for sinus polyps. As my sinuses and allergies improved, my sinus polyps went away.

Take care, and best of luck to you in finding a way to get rid of all your nasty, unpleasant symptoms!
