Continuous nose bleeding

Hi, I'm 17 i'm not too freaked out by my nosebleeds but i'm concerned enough to want to understand whats going on. I can start by saying my nose has bleed three times in the past 18 hours. Maybe less.Yesterday i was sitting down doing work and my head was hurting so i turned a little to rub it and blood started coming out, (at that moment I was freakingout) i ran out to the bathroom and was in there for about 10 minutes maybe longer and there was just a lot of blood and i did notice what looked like a clot. No I wasn't picking my nose either. Then last night i woke up in the mid. of the night and it was bleeding, this time not as much and the headache wasnt there. Then this morning I was on my way to school and i was sitting straight up not doing anything but putting makeup on and it just started coming out. Now i've been freaking out a little today because i was visiting a potential University and I don't want anymore random nose bleeds and its coming from my right nostril only. A doctor is not exactly in my option list unless it becomes worse but I am partially disturbed by this, so please, any answers are helpful. Thank You.

Re: Continuous nose bleeding

Oh dear! What a rotten time for this to happen. Nosebleeds can be caused by alot of things. If it is dry in your house or school, that can help cause them. Blocked sinuses can cause them. Stress can also add to the pressure for a nosebleed. (Senior year, no stress-right? ). High blood pressure also is a trigger.

When you go to bed, try sleeping with your head elevated to help keep them from coming back.

Good luck!
