| Sinusitis ?
Hey everybody, I just had a couple of quick questions to see if maybe anyone had any idea of what might be going on with me. I am going back to the ENT tomorrow, ( I had a balloon sinuplasty on october 19th) and my main issue here is that before I went to the ENT, I had NO sinus problems whatsoever. I only went to the ENT because I had constant post nasal drip, I was constantly clearing my throat, fatigued, and recurring strep throat issues (I've had strep throat 3-4 times this year) He took a CT and found significant infection in my left sphenoid sinus which he wanted to do the balloon sinuplast right away. I was reading about it and most people say they usually resort to this procedure after trying medications that won't work, etc. Yet this was my first time and he scheduled it. Why do you think he would schedule it right away, could an infection in that area be very serious? Still, before going there I never experienced any sinus problems at all. After the procedure I am still experiencing post nasal drip, and I don't feel well today (like I'm getting strep again.. ) I do the nasal irrigation and am on prescription nasal spray.. which all the nasal spray does is make my throat taste bad.. it's horrible. He did look in my throat and said it was inflamed, but didn't do anything more. Could there be something else going on because "sinus" problems? i need to figure out questions to ask him tomorrow when I go in. Thanks for everybodies time!
