I just had it done a week ago this past Thursday. My ENT had to break the septum in a couple of places and he also did the turbinates on both sides. I'm already breathing better than I EVER have. It's amazing. I put it off for 10 years and suffered like mad with horrible sinus infections. Now it's done. The surgery itself was really unpleasant. I'm not going to suger coat that one. I've had many surgeries done and that one was really rude for the first couple of days. Totally worth it though. It had to be done and I'm really, really happy it's behind me and am super pleased with the results.
