Sinus infections and high blood pressure

I have had, what I think is a sinus infection for over a week. The funny thing is that I am not really stuffed up or congested, just severe headaches across my forehead, under my eyes, cheeks. My concern is my blood pressure. I am on medication and do have high blood pressure, but during this week of sinus fun, my bp has skyrocketed. I wonder if this is due to the sinus issue and just want to know if anyone else has had this occur. thank you

infection, viruses raise blood pressure. Very common. you have to be so careful with cold medicines/ Netti pot would be a great idea for you. Xclear a great product that works (saline and xylitol) spray. Steam showers..or make a hot water pot and throw a towel over your head for an intense humidifier experience. Then the regular emergence-c drink and lots of water and time. Feel better and you can always let your doctor know whats going on, cause worrying about it will surely make you bp go up.

Re: Sinus infections and high blood pressure

Thank you. I actually bought the simply saline product and used it for a day or two. My reaction to that was a sore throat, something I havent had in 10 years. I go to the dr. today so she will hopefully prescribe an antibiotic to clear whatever this is out. Again, thanks for the info/advise. Be well
