Post nasal drip won't go away, gets worse immediately after eating
Here's my symptoms:
-Chronic postnasal drip, throat clearing. The nasal drip definitely worsens after I eat. Sometimes I get sinus pressure after eating.
-I don't have heartburn
-I don't have any pain in my abdominal area
-I am lactose intolerant. I haven't consumed lactose in months and I do as much as I can to avoid it
-I am not gluten intolerant
-I don't smoke or drink alcohol, coffee
-I don't eat chocolate, peppermint, fried or 'junk' food.
Here's my story:
I saw an allergist - I have no known allergies. I was never diagnosed for an infection, but the allergist prescribed me antibiotics called Augmentin, and they didn't seem to help at all.
Then, I went to another doctor and I got my blood tested.
The following labs were ordered:
-Tissue Transglutaminase AB IgA
-Comp metabolic panel
-TSH with reflex
Everything came back 'normal'. Thyroid and liver function is normal and no Coeliac's disease.
This doctor basically told me he didn't think I had acid reflux because I don't have any heartburn. Then, he told me to see my allergist again for auto immune stuff.
What do I do from here? Should I see an ENT? Endoscopy? Barium Swallow? I heard that Barium Swallows aren't very accurate. Or should I get a CT scan so I can see if I have an infection first?
I think I should get an endoscopy, but I'm not sure if my insurance even covers it. There is a strong probability that I have a hiatal hernia because I do a lot of lifting at work aside from occasional exercise.[b]
