Does anyone know if there was/are Case Studies involving Chronic Sinus Infections?
I have been dealing with a very bad sinus infection for almost two years. I have been through 2 sinus surgeries one with my ENT and the other with a University Specialist. Both surgeries helped a little but the infection never went away. I have been on more antibiotics and Prednisone that I have actually lost count! I have stopped taking the Prednisone due to having Celiac and a Grandmother with osteoporosis. Prednisone gave me very little relief, if ANY and my infection has never responded to any of the antibiotics. I have had tons of cultures extracted and NON OF THEM GROW ANYTHING! Viral or fungal!!
I have also had allergen test both blood and skin and I am not allergic to anything except a minor reaction to an insect dander and a Fall weed.
Currently I am in the middle of a second round of atomization of antibiotics, anti fungal and anti inflammatory. (30days worth with a $150 co-pay) And my last day of a 14 day oral antibiotic round. Again both yielding no results and woke-up to my left ear full of fluid and ringing!!!
I am at my wits end and was hoping someone knows of a case study of patients with an infection that never went away, doesn't react to antibiotics or has cultures that grow anything. Please if someone can point me in the right direction.
