| Sinus pain without congestion... thoughts?
Hoping to get some thoughts on what I've been experiencing...
About two months ago, my boyfriend had a run-of-the mill, ordinary head cold. I never seemed to catch the cold, which I found odd since we live together and everything, but I've always had a pretty strong immune system, so figured that I just got lucky this time around.
However, about a week later, I started to experience pain in the left side of my face, at the top of my cheek. I can feel it more when I bend over or put pressure on it, but the feeling never completely goes away, even when not doing those things. I've had sinus pain before due to allergies, and that's what this feels like... what's getting me confused, though, is that I've had no other symptoms. My nose isn't congested at all. I've had to blow my nose a few times, but no more often than usual (every couple of days during the morning), and what comes out is always clear - not grossly discolored as I've read happens during a sinus infection.
I've tried taking Sudafed (the real kind that you have to get at the pharmacy counter), and that seems to help the pain, but doesn't keep it from recurring or really help my nose drain.
Kind of at a loss as to what to do? Should I be extremely concerned with this? I bought a Neti Pot today and am kind of nervous about the idea, but maybe it will help?
