infection due to stitches

Medical history

july 2011 - laproscopy uteres done
8 days - stiches amaxocillin - antibiotic
stomach pain,
after 2 months stiches were reddish
after 6 months
lumps, pus near stiches
continues till day
side stiches have red lump and pus
sonography performed after 8 months
pus found so surgically removed and pus removed
antibiotic - 2 daily for 5 days moxifloxisin(400mg)... 10 days ,
dressing continues for 20 days
now dressing stopeed
still lump and pus is present same stich
lovox(floxacin 750mg)

doctors say surgery required to remove infection. but no gaurentte that this infection will not happen again...

Any suggession ?

Well, if they don't try to remove the infection, it won't go away. However, make sure you go to a hospital with a very good record for dealing with this sort of thing. They might need to do a culture on your infection to find the best antibiotic possible.

Have they tested you for diabetes or any other health problems that might be interfering with your healing?
