Left Sinus blocked when lying in certain positions

This is a strange one that I believe may be nerve related.

When lying in bed in certain positions, most notably when lying on my left side, my left sinus blocks up completely. But not with mucus. It's the sensation of being blocked. Within minutes of shifting to a new position or sitting up, it goes away. This also happens when slouching in a chair.

The best position for me to sleep that keeps the sinus cavity clear is to lay on my right side with my head turned to the left. It can get uncomfortable in this position after a while.

I have other health issues, most notably constant inner ear pressure in my left ear. The kind of pressure that causes nystagmus when putting my finger in my ear. Doctors have said Menieres, but no vertigo or tinnitus is present.

any thoughts?

It is not all that abnormal hey. You could be experiencing signs of blood pressure of sugar level. Also how long is it before you got to bed, do you eat? The reason I am asking this is that if have late night meals then your food does not digest accordingly and therefore results in there being pressure in your sinuses.

Your nasal breathing obstruction, when lying on either your right side or your left side could be because of swollen turbinates within your nasal passages.

There are fleshy, soft structures within your nose called turbinates. When you lie on one side these fleshy turbinates, if somewhat swollen, tend to shift, blocking one side of your nose while unblocking the other side of your nasal passages. It is strictly because of gravity, IMHO.
