Exclamation Post Nasal Drip/Night Coughing addvice for a 2yr old?

My names Katy I have a 2yr old who just had surgery in his ears they put Tubes that was Nov. 26th an about a wk later developed a bad cold then lost it but not the severe coughing!? So Im asking any ideas or treatments that may help him sleep more an vough less? Hes coughing so badly he cant breathe or almost throws up idk what to do ? Please HELP!

Hi, Katy,
My first suggestion is that you call your doctor and find out his professional opinion. Please don't worry about bothering him....that's his job!
Until then, put a pillow under your son's mattress so that his head is up a bit more and he's not laying so flat. That may help some. A humidifier in his room may also help. Is he making a funny noise when he can't breathe? He may have croup. Take him immediately into the bathroom where you are running the shower as hot as it can go. Just sit in the bathroom with him and let the warm air get into his lungs. A doctor should see him.
