Not yet, but then even my ENT specialists can't agree on whether it is a sphenoid infection or not, my lead consultant ENT has agreed to go a head with surgery to open up passgae ways, open concha bullosa and correct deviated septum "to see if it works" and will clean out whatever is in there and possibly culture if he finds anything!
So far I have had 5 different antibiotics, pseudoephedrine, diclifenec anti-inflammatories, several types of antihistamines, flixonase steroid nose drops and gone through countless painkillers which have not really worked on reducing pain in my cheeckbones, eyebrows, in between the eyes and occasionally going up to my ears.
I've also been doing regular saline flushing.
Even I'm not convinced it is just
a sphenoid infection now, even though 4 GPs and doctor who looked at last CT scan said it was sphenoid infection! I think it is possibly a combination of sphenoid infection and possible TMJ disorder...but I'm not a doctor so can't be sure yet!
