Sinus migraine after debridement post sugery appt.

OMG, so I am two weeks post surgery today, and have had two follow up appointments so far. The first was to remove the large plastic straws (splints) from my nose as I had septoplasty, turbinate reduction, and a concha bullosa removal. The second appt was this past Monday, and it was my first scab removal appt (debridement). I have read that many people didn't think this hurt much, so I wasn't expecting it to. I have also been religious about irrigating. However, it hurt tremendously! I should have taken a pain pill first that's for sure. And I have another appt in a week and a half to do it again! Ugh. My doc was pleased with the light amount of scabbing I guess. My question is, did anyone else have more pain after debridement? I have had a bad headache the two days following this appointment. My sinuses just feel sore and my face aches! I know it's only been two weeks post surgery, but geez! anyone else suffer this?

Debridement is NO FUN and lots of docs recommend taking a painkiller before the first debridement. What you're feeling isn't unusual.

Thanks! I just feel worse than I did the day of the debridement! Such a killer migraine. I appreciate you always responding to my many questions. Sinus issues are such an unpleasant experience. :)

I am post debridement surgery as well! It was May 24th when I had it done and I have had some serious headaches, along with dizziness, pain in my right eye, and right cheek, along with my upper teeth. My ENT canNOT seem to figure it out and I'm looking for answers. He was feeding me Norco, but I stopped it 'cause I just felt like it was "masking" the pain, not curing it. I have been sooooo miserable. Lost my job due to all this. It's been a total nightmare. Looking for someone who has had my symptoms and found relief or answers.
