 Issues Affecting Adults Born Premature
I am an adult who was born very premature (3 months early). Apparently, if I lived, I was expected to be deaf or blind or have serious problems such as CP. I did live, and did not have any of those problems. Growing up, I realized that I had many developmental difficulties that my friends didn't have, but according to the doctors when I was young - I escaped my prematurity more or less unscathed.
As an adult, I see just how many developmental problems I have (because being an adult, it's really strange to not be able to do things that a preschooler can do!)
I am curious to interact with others, like me, my guess is there are alot of us out there, but to this day I have yet to find a community that brings us together.
