Short of breath

Was wondering if any of you have a problem with shortness of breath. I have had a little trouble with it off and on but this last couple of weeks it just does not seem to want to go away. My GP has referred me to a specialist but will not get to see him for a couple of weeks. Also it seems to hurt in my rib area, kinda on my sides. Not sure if it is tight muscles that are constricting the air in my lungs or what. Always something. Any ideas guys.

Do you have Sjogrens Syndrom?

Hmmm not sure... My doctor had me take chest x-rays and asked me if I had shortness of breath when I first when to him back in Jan/Feb. However the chest x-ray came back fine and I don't have any more of a shortness in breath then before. I had asthma growing up and tend to sometimes still have a have time getting a full lungs worth of air.

Maybe you should call the specialist back tell them it's an emergency and you need to get in this week. If they can't do it for you maybe you should call around to other doctors!

Good Luck to you and keep us posted.

Re: Short of breath

Hi Twinburl.
I do not know much about the disease coz i am still new to all this. However, one thing i notice is that most of the drugs have these weird side effects. I get shortness of breath, nervousness, irregular heartbeats. Sometimes, the side effects of the drugs are worse than the symptoms they treat. You should try to check out these things on ******. I find it useful. However, its a good idea to get these things checked also. I know i should have them checked too
Talk to you soon. Take care.
