dehydration

I was diagnosed years ago with atypical connective tissue disease or mixed tissue. When my husband retired we switched to a HMO who will not accept previous diagnoses and has diagnosed me with sicca syndrome but not sjogrens unless I have a lip biopsy as my blood work was normal. I have so many of the symptoms. My question is, do you get extremely thirsty and if you don't immediately drink water get severe back/kidney pain? I drink tons of water but almost panic when the urge to drink hits.
