I have fibromyalgia and symptoms of sjogrens though dr said no point in doing the lip biopsy as I was already diagnosed with atypical connective tissue disease. I have had quite a few surgeries, the most recent was back surgery.
It seems to take a little longer for recovery. I am more tired after surgery and it hurts a little longer. I don't like to take pain meds so that probably adds to the pain lingering too.
I take advantage of the down time and don't push it too much as to avoid a flair-up of the fibro.
You should be fine. The worst part is the anticipation of having the surgery.
