| Anyone have reaction to contrast dye?
Hi,
Had to get a hip arthrogram last month to inject cortisone into the joint. As I was leaving to change, I suddenly couldn't breathe. My breath came back but I then broke out in a rash, had chest and throat tightness, had itchy hands and feet, and had extreme nausea and stomach pain. Once in the ambulance I received a high dose of Benadryl and felt much better. They kept me in the ER for a few hours. I was sick for days afterwards.
Unfortunately, the Benadryl and ER dried out my eyes so bad that I felt like I had shards of glass in my eyes. After a few days I felt better but it was a brutal experience.
