'beginning of Sjogrens'

I'm having a few new symptoms I went to my GP who's referring me to a rheumatologist, but I have to wait for my appointment.

I went to the orthodontist today and my Mum said I should get him to check out my saliva glands.

He dried out my lip and did something down the sides of my mouth. He said that he thought that it seemed like what you would see with someone who has early Sjogren's Syndrome.

I'm really worried now. He said that I need to get this followed up with the rheumatologist.

Should I be worried? What happens if the anti-body blood test is negative? Would that cancel out the possibility? What could it be if it's not Sjogren's?

Thank you.
