Angry Cleaning eye ointment from glasses??

I'm new to the group, but I have a question and I hope someone here has experience & can share.

I've had Sjogren's for 17 years and I use night-time eye lubricant as I also have sleep apnea & use a CPAP. The air from the CPAP is very drying, so my eyes are even more dry (and sore) if I don't use the lubricant. I try to wipe the lubricant off my lashes, etc. before I put my glasses on in the morning.

Originally, I was able to clean any residue of this lubricant off my (polycarbonate) eyeglasses with no problem-either using the spray that comes from the eyeglasses store or using a mild soap & microfiber eyeglass cloth. I just got new (polycarbonate) eyeglasses with the usual anti-glare/anti-scratch coating & I can't believe that the lubricant won't come off of the glasses-it just smears.

I'm taking the glasses back tomorrow to see what they recommend but I wonder if anyone else here has had this problem and how did they deal with it?
