I have urticaria. Your rash sounds similar. Mine is often quite itchy or "hot" feeling and very red and is usually brought on when my skin senses a change in temp or pressure. (can be anything from water to wind) I did have it on my face for a few days last year (across my nose and cheeks) but only when I was in the sun. Mine always goes away when the temp or pressure normalizes. I also get another rash from time to time that gets scaly and thick looking. It looks similar to psoriasis but isn't. It usually begins with small dot sized (raised) marks and then spreads out. It's not itchy though. I get it on my hands, wrists, shoulders and down my spine.
