Hey everyone!!!! I need help...I get this problem where my lips flare and flake, and the sides of my lips crack and I can hardly eat(so painful). Anyone heard of having a yeast type infection around lips, etc.??? Sounds strange.... but any help would be great!!!!!! Thanks
My husband gets this from time to time and the dermatologist has prescribed Lotrimin. It is all due to 'slobbering' when you sleep - seems the saliva acids tend to 'eat away' at your skin. There is also another medication you can use, but I cannot remember the name of it. The Lotrimin seems to work for him though.
Soar-
You are correct- and the Lotrimin cream works well for me- it could also be that you have a B vitamin deficiency- try taking a multi-vitamin, seems that when I do this, it decreases the occurances.

Thanks soooo much for your responses....I am currently being treated for a vaginal yeast infection so we shall see what happens with my lips as the other starts to go away.
