scars!! - Skin Problems Message Board

ok, I have this huge problem about scars. I have so much on my legs from mosquito bites. I've had them since i was little. Im so torn that im not able to wear shorts or even dresses.. thats so sad

I'm afraid guys wont like me because of that. Its such a turn off. Any advise?? Help me please!!!

Don't be sad or depressed. I have a giant keloid (scar tumor) on my knee. I haven't worn shorts since I was 7. I can't wear skirts either, even with panty hose-- it still shows. And it really sucks, 'cause I try to be a fashion plate. Hopefully, that will make you feel better. I'm sorry about your scars though. I used to have that, but they faded after 10 years. But at least you don't have a keloid!

Have you tried to any over the counter products on them to try and minimize the appearance of the scars. I'm currently trying ScarZone for my Shingles scars. I cant say how good it works since I'm just starting to use it. There are several others out there such as patches that you place on the scar to supposedly minimize their appearance as well. Its a place to start, and I'm sure you will find a good solution out there. Good luck.
