A broken bulb cut my finger in 6 months ago, a hand -surgery doctor did surgery for me, but he didn't find any glass inside my finger as he expect, he asked me to see him after 3 months, but I didn't because I think there are nothing he can do after surgery.
But now my finger some time still hurt if it was touched some hard staff and sweating although it is OK in most of time, I wonder if I should to follow up my surgery doctor once or not, does a hand surgery doctor still can do something or nothing he can do after surgery? I just want to know if any wound will have a little bit pain after surgery?

Yes any time you have surgery you can have pain for a certain time after. Especially you fingers. They have a lot of nerve endings in them. They are one of the most sensitive parts of your body. I know people who have had there fingers cut with saws accidentially before all the way down to the bone and years later they can still have pain off and on. Just give it more time, the more time that passes the less often you will feel pain. Three months is not really that long.

hello, im sorry my memory is not so excellent but a while ago a friend was telling me that when he was a child living abroad people used to tell him that if you get cut with a light bulb it never heals. Much later he had read something about an additive or compound in lightbulbs that proved this folk knowledge of the wounds not healing quickly. It is vague but maybe you can ask around and find what it is about? I hope you get better soon...

I sliced the side of my index finger off with an x-acto blade working on a project late one nite over back in the fall of 2001. Well, obviously I still have scar but if I press on it just the right way it can send pain down my finger and the accident happened over 3 years ago! But I can remember after I had the accident it took several months before it really healed.

But as far as going back to have him check your finger is def a good thing, as with any surgery you have follow ups to make sure everything is going accordingly.
