brownish-reddish spots on my calf and foot... - Skin Problems Message Board

i have these brownish reddist spots on one of my calves and one of my feet. they started in the beginning of 6th grade. and got worse and more until 8th grade. now every now and then i get another spot. i went to my dermatologist and he said they were leaky blood vessels. i went to another doctor and she said it was mofia. im not sure what it is. they are only on one of my legs and they start right under my knee. does anyone have this also or know of a way to get rid of it? i can never wear shorts, skirts, or dresses anymore since everyone that sees it gets disgusted...

I too have the same problem but on both of my feet. I have no clue what it is and have been to a Podiatrist and also to a Dermatologist. I 1st noticed these reddish brown spots on top of my right foot about 4 yrs ago and then it spread to the outside of the bottom of my ankle. It's a patch of spots on the top part of my foot but by my ankle it looks like tiny pin dots that are red. Now I have it on my left foot too but not as bad. No one seems to know what it is or can treat it. I've tried Cloderm cream from my Dermatologist but no luck. He doesn't think it will spread up past my ankle but still doesn't know what it is. I hate it cause I'm very pale and it's very noticeable during sandal season. :?
I did a little researching online and thought it might be something called "Capillaritis" but the Dermatologist said it wasn't. Please let me know if you find out anymore info or if any treatments work for you. Thanks!
