| Re: getting rid of bites faster?
HachiRoku are you sure these are not tick bites?
Please protect yourself from tick bites when camping (and everything else). Be aware that ticks can transmit several debilitating diseases including Lyme disease, Babesiosis, Ehrlichiosis, Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, Bartonella, and Mycoplasma. They can be very serious.
Wear a tick repellant on your clothes and skin. Walk on paths, not in high grass. Check yourself frequently and thoroughly for ticks. If you find any, the only safe way to remove them is with tweezers only. Grab the tick as close to the skin as possible (by the mouthparts) and pull it straight out. Do not burn it with a match, remove it with your fingers, put vaseline, alcohol etc. on it. This will irritate the tick and increase your chance of infection. Save any ticks in a ziploc bag or sealed container. They can be tested for disease at IgeneX lab in Palo Alto, CA.
Have fun on your trip!
