i am a male in my 20s

well several months ago i had a laser treatment to get rid of a few acne scars and a few ingorwn hairs pit marks on my chest. did the treatments (they were expensive as hell too )

i guess was a good plastic surgeon dermotoglist ... well after the treatments the area of the laser treatment scared the **** out of my chest.(i was told to wait a few months to see how they look)

the minor scars became full time raised keloid scars

havent heeled at all and i looks like i have some foever scaring on my chest

these scars have caused alot of pain and suffereing and imbaresment as well.

i set up an appoitment to see this same dermotiligist again on the 4th

the thing is i spend so much time on my body (i am a bodybuilder )and now looks like i have some serious rasied scars on my chest so much for stripping to pay to the bills

i would have been better off just no laser treatment and let them heel on there own. the laser did more harm then good.. i hope he some plastic suregeon can fix it

just depressed...

I don't mean to burst your bubble, but keloids are very difficult to treat. The two most effective treatments are steroid injections and silicone gel pads. When used in conjuction the results are usually good, but never 100%. At best, the scar will either leave a white line (if it does completely flatten), or it will cause the scar to just collapse, leaving you with an indentation. It's discouraging because the chance of recurrence is very high. I know how you feel because I have keloids and have probably had at least 60 injections ( I have multiple keloids), and only one benefitted from it, but it still left an unsightly indentation. The one that benefitted was the one that I have on my chest (all of mine are on my shoulders). Speaking from experience, the ones on the chest are easier to treat because there isn't too much stress or movement there like there is on the shoulders. It's best to catch keloids while they're still fairly new, because they haven't harden yet, so it's easier for the steroid solution to break it down.
