extreme dry skin - Skin Problems Message Board

I have had dry skin my whole life, but in the last few months it has become itchy and cracking on my eye lids. It's doing ok almost everywhere else. I put cream on it daily but it doesn't do anything. Does anyone have any idea as what may cause this or how to help it?

I would suggest a lotion fo extremely dry skin. You have probably tried something like that. If you are experiencing cracking and bleeding I would seek medical attention. Otherwise just use some lotion for very dry skin. Aveno, Neutrogena, St. Ives all make nice lotions. Try a few. See what happens. You might just find your new best friend!
